Dear Folks,

Ahoy! and Welcome to 7-C's Charters.  Thanks for your request for more information.  In addition to the layouts which are enclosed, we would like to tell you more about the business.

Capt. Bruce and Sheila Dunham    We do group charters to the Bahamas.  Generally, we run with 12 to 18 passengers.  We run trips as large as 100 passengers using multiple boats.  The Bahama Star is a US Coast Guard certified vessel which is licensed to carry 35 day and 18 overnight passengers.

Most of our business is educational in nature.  We handle university Marine Biology and Navigation courses and high school senior class trips.  We have experience with deaf, blind, and multi-handicapped children as well as physically sound adults.  In addition to navigation, sailing, snorkeling, and spearfishing skills, we provide glimpses into Bahamian history.  Our programs offer valuable experiences in team work and self esteem building.

During the summer we concentrate on Scout and church groups, as well as educational trips.  We have arranged mission projects with the Ambassador of Missions in the Bahamas which include finishing the construction of two churches as well as completely rebuilding a burnt out church in Freeport.  Additionally, we have conducted street ministry and neighborhood Vacation Bible Schools.  The Bahamas is a great place to open your senses to our Creator. Capt. Bruce and Sheila Dunham

The rest of our trips are just for fun and relaxation.  Perspective ports of call include Nassau, Eleuthera, the Exumas and the Berry Islands.  Occasionally, we organize family reunions on the water.

Whatever the nature of the trip, the group charters the boat directly from the owner via a bareboat agreement.  7'C's Charters then provides everything except personal spending money, tips, the Bahamian Departure Tax ($15/person), and airfare to Nassau.  We will have the boat fully provisioned with food, fuel, ice and a soft drink beverage service.  We can recommend a knowledgeable, experienced captain to guide you to a great vacation.  The cost of the trip also includes up to three nights dockage, use of the sea kayaks, snorkel and fishing gear, and beach toys.

This year we are running all of our Capt. Bruce and Sheila Dunhamtrips out of Nassau.  Doing this opens up new areas like Eleuthera and the Exumas to explore as well as giving you more time in the islands because you don't have to cross the Gulf Stream or the Bahama Banks.  The prices quoted below are for a seven day trip, normally Saturday to Saturday.

Our future plans include building Beacon I, a 93', two-masted, gaff rigged schooner.  She will accommodate 24 passengers.  She will have three showers and heads.  The Main Salon will seat 30 people in comfort.  She will be fully crewed and equipped.
